Beach and Mooring Overview

 As a paid member in good standing, you are entitled to beach and mooring privileges at the PWEA Beach which is located at the western end of Beachway, west of Plandome Road.

The next several pages highlight the beach regulations which were established to provide everyone a positive experience at our beach.

Additionally, members are entitled to reserve the beach for parties.

• We maintain a rack where you can store a kayak for your pleasure use, at an additional cost of $50 per space per year. The cost to store a dinghy, canoe, sunfish, windsurfer is $125. The cost to store a paddleboard is $25. The rack is conveniently located near the paved ramp into Manhasset Bay. Please go to Dinghy Rack Procedures for more details.

• If you own a boat it may be moored in Manhasset Bay, just off of our beach. Mooring is coordinated through our Mooring Chairperson and the Town of North Hempstead. The Mooring Chairperson can explain more about the process and fees associated with moorings. Please go to Mooring Guidelines & Courtesies for more details.

• You can place your own dinghy on our Dinghy Float in the summer months and then store it on our Dinghy Rack in the winter. ($100 per year).
